Characters overview
A character in LuminariMUD is built from familiar d20 pieces — a race, one or more classes, and the abilities, skills, and feats that follow.
The shape of a character
Section titled “The shape of a character”- Race — your character’s ancestry, with its own traits and flavour.
- Class — your vocation and the powers it grants, in the Pathfinder / d20 tradition.
- Abilities & skills — the numbers underneath the roleplay: what your character is good at.
- Feats — the specialisations that make two characters of the same class play differently.
The setting and cultural background for the playable peoples lives in the world section. Read the lore for each race there:

Classes
Section titled “Classes”- Alchemist — a master of alchemy, extracts, bombs, and mutagenic science.
- Artificer — fuses magic and technology through “weird science.”
- Bard — channels arcane magic through performance, song, and lore.
- Berserker — unleashes primal rage and martial fury in combat.
- Blackguard — dark champion of terror, unholy health, and despair.
- Cleric — channels divine power, deity domain magic, and healing.
- Druid — nature guardian wielding wild shape, animal companions, and elemental magic.
- Inquisitor — relentless divine investigator executing sacred judgments and banes.
- Monk — master of ki energy, flurry of blows, and martial perfection.
- Paladin — holy knight of justice radiating sacred auras and smiting evil.
- Psionicist — manifests mind-over-matter powers and psionic energy.
- Ranger — wilderness hunter specialized in combat styles and favored enemies.
- Rogue — stealthy trickster delivering sneak attacks and executing rogue talents.
- Sorcerer — spontaneous caster empowered by innate bloodline magic.
- Summoner — conjurer bonded with a customizable, powerful Eidolon companion.
- Warlock — eldritch caster slinging at-will invocations and destructive eldritch blasts.
- Warrior — tactical master of all weapons, armor, and combat feat chains.
- Wizard — scholar of high magic, spellbooks, and school specializations.
